Last week I was in Goa for the Gionee Smartphone launch event, and I got a chance to enjoy the hospitality of the Grand Hyatt. The Grand Hyatt Goa is the 5-star hotel spreads across 28 acres of lands, situated in Bambolim Beach. This review is based on my two days of stayed at Grand Hyatt Goa.
I landed at Dabolim Airport the main airport of Goa and from there Hotel distance is around 25 Km. March-April is considered as an off season in Goa so there is not much traffic on the road, but due to single road, it takes around 20 min to reach the hotel. Medium Size and Big gate of the hotel welcome you, with few security checks. You’ll be at the grand lobby of their hotel, from there you can check in and take your room keys.
Ambience
The Hotel has beautiful ambience, following Indo Portuguese style. The inside decor features brown wooden colors that, same goes with the rooms. The ambience of the hotel is dark and decorated with Chandelier, sky light and fountains. The 1,150 sq m Pillarless Grand Ballroom is perfect for any event.
Rooms
The main building has only restaurants, bars and ballroom. A total of 312 Guest Rooms with Club Rooms and Suites placed in 7 villas across the hotel. The standard room furnished with wooden tables, floors and big bed. The balcony open backside where you can sit on sofas and enjoy the beautiful view of Pool and Beach.
The Room also has spacious bathroom with large tub, separate shower area, dressing table with hairdryer and both cold & hot water facilities. Other facilities in the room are Minibar, Iron/ironing board, Enhanced work desk lighting, Coffee maker, cable tv, High-speed internet access, Safe Deposit box, Morning Newspaper and 37-inch LED TV.
Dinning
Total 7 dining places will serve you any kind of food. They have a team of specially trained cooks.
- The Verandah – grill restaurant that will serve seafood and meat with Middle Eastern, Indian and Asian influences
- Chulha will serve Indian food and tandoor-grilled cuisine
- Confeitaria will serve home baked bakery pastries, cakes and specialty coffees and teas throughout the day
- The Dining Room for breakfast, lunch, dinner
- The Bay View Lounge to enjoy food with stunning views of the Bambolim Bay
- Capiz Bar
- The Pool Bar and Grill where you can enjoy food in the garden near Pool.
If you don’t want to get out from room, you can order snacks on a 24 hour basis. I’ve tried only Chulha and there you can enjoy delicious south Indian food, toasts, sausages, juices, toasts etc.
Activities
When it comes to Activities, the Grand Hyatt Goa has a lot more to offer make your holiday adventures. Inside Hotel, you can dive in the outdoor pool and there is also a pool for your kids. The steam and sauna facilities also available near poolside.
If you don’t like pool, you can enjoy a romantic walk at Bambolim Bay and collect some shells.
If you’re tired of the day to day stress life, then you can relax at Shamana Spa. The Shamana Spa at Grand Hyatt Goa offer South-East Asian treatments, fitness centre and plunge pool. The Spa houses 19 treatment suites that include six Shamana suites, a special Ayurveda suite and two Royal suites, which are designed as sanctuaries with hydrothermal facilities with sunken baths, vitality pools and multi-sensory rain showers.
