We’re just back from our Goa Trip. This is the first time when I’m visiting Goa as a Couple. Before that, all my trip was as a solo traveler or went for some blogging event. This time I decided to cover Goa from a Couple perspective and not just an ordinary couple but adventure-loving wanderer.
We all knew the Goa for its Portuguese history so I decided to choose Marbella Guest House for our stay. The elegant Portugues style guest house in North Goa is the perfect place for a couple who are newly married /anniversary trips or just normal couple trip.
Ambience
The Marbella Guest House is the Portuguese style guest house at North Goa located near the Sinquerium beach. The Beautiful Villa was built in 1984 with the fusion of Portuguese + Indian architecture in mind.
The Villa Entire Ambience gives old heritage feel. All the furniture was purchased from Chor Bazaar Mumbai, at the time you can find some amazing gems from Chor Bazaar. The Entire Guest House is situated at the end of a valley, cutting into the headlands, surrounded by the Arabian Sea and the Mandovi river. From the room, you can enjoy the sound of birds.
Rooms
Marbella Guest House has 5 types of Rooms available designed for a wide range of audience:
Penthouse Suite
The Villa best house designed to accommodate the complete family. The suite consists of a large bedroom with a suite-like bathroom, a large living room, a dining room and a big terrace from where you can enjoy the view of lush greenery around the property.
The Penthouse gives you a premium feel with a large wooden ceiling, awesome work of goan styles marbles & tiles on room & bathroom.
Rajasthani Suite
Probably my favorite room in the entire Villa. It has a split level room with a spacious room and living room. The Rajasthani Suite is the only room in the entire house with a large sunken bath. There is also a balcony where you can sit and relax with the sound of birds and greenery around it.
Moghul Suite
The Suite is located on the ground floor which opens at the courtyard. The Suite is suited best for the family and old age couple who like to easy access without going up down on stairs.
Garden Room
This is where we stayed and I recommend this for all the couples who looking beautiful double room in a mid-range budget. The room is located on the upper floor with beautiful round stairs which provides a beautiful spot for photography.
The Rooms comes with a beautiful view of the garden and views of the surrounding area of open hills and palm trees. The room has a nice bathroom, old-style furniture and so many windows which make it a very bright room with lots of defused sunlight coming into your room.
Bougainvillea 1 & 2
The twin rooms located side by side with a common terrace. The Bougainvillea the cheapest option in Marbella guest house and the room is fantastic with a beautiful view of Bougainvillea tree outside the terrace.
Dining
There is no dining area however there are few tables on the courtyard where you can dine or you can order straight from your room using the A la carte menu.
Talking about taste, food is delicious, we order Chinese, bakery and continental food and everything is so delicious and especially the Tomato soup with garlic bread.
Conclusion
The Marbella Guest House is the first Boutique House in the Goa that started in 1988. Marbella Guest House is not your typical type of Hotel, you’ll get more home touch from staff to the owner. If you love to jam then you can also invite the owner Mr. Dian Singh for a great get together, he’ll play the guitar. The entire ambiance is beautiful and photograph-able, you’ll love your stay and I’m sure you’ll take lots of photos.
